…in a purely platonic way.
Amongst all the other cooking classics I now have on my shelves, is one that deserves a special post:
I treasure this book not the least for its recipe entitled Brown Brotherhood Soup – dried figs blended with water. I am not sure how that breakfast soup is built on fraternity, but hey…
This klassik promises a complete organic diet on 8 cents (US) or less per day. For only the cost of $1.00 (12.5 days worth of food) my mum purchased this glory.
Mind you the book was published in 1972, so you might have to take inflation into account on your 8 cents a day diet. According to one online calculator, you’re looking at 0.41 cents per day (US).
All you need is this book and a blender (since most of the recipes tell you to blend until smooth), and you too can live a live food diet.
Right now I am envisaging life lived according to this wonder will be something a little like this:
I have the book, I have a blender now all I need is Smith 😉
